World Almanac and activities to use with it

In an almanac a student can find a vast amount of information very quickly. The facts can be used to prove an argument and solidify understanding of a culture very quickly. There are some software applications that can be used in the classroom that are excellent to use but there are fees involved. We will center our attention on almanacs that are free for student use.

Here is a description from their site:

Our Reference tab includes: maps of the major world regions, as well as Flags of the World, a Physical Map of the World, a Political Map of the World, and a Standard Time Zones of the World map.
