What in the World is a Wiki?

In the 21st Century classroom, wikis and blogs are a common as chalkboards and textbooks. For those of you just entering the world of technology, here are short videos to explain them.

How can you use these tools in your classroom? If you have not set up a wiki or a blog yet in your classroom, take a few moments and set one up!

There are step by step instructions to set up your wiki. To add items in the left navigation bar, create a new page and add information there. To edit the main page, click on "Edit" on the top right of your wiki!

The key ingredient for a wiki is the ability for your students to have their thoughts and ideas heard. They will then be able to speak for those who cannot speak. The network of wikis and blogs and heighten awareness among the users of blogs and wikis and students can truly feel that they are making a difference in the world.
